Privacy policy
Your ideas are yours.
Wombi is made by Astralis LLC in Melbourne, Florida. This policy covers the Wombi app and the website wombi.store. It says what we collect, why, who else handles it, and how to have it deleted. Last updated 20 October 2026.
1. The short version
You use Wombi to capture what is on your mind, so what you put in is personal. We collect what the app needs to work and nothing for advertising. Your data is never sold and never used for ads. You can have all of it deleted at any time.
2. What the app collects
- Your account. Your email address, and your name if you add it.
- What you record or type. Voice recordings, the transcripts made from them, and the notes, tasks, projects, drafts and summaries Wombi builds from them.
- People you mention. When you talk about someone, Wombi can save their name and details you share, such as how you met, where they live or their birthday. If you import a WhatsApp chat export, Wombi saves names, handles and how often and when you messaged, never the text of the messages.
- Feelings and personal reflections, if you use those features: mood, energy, what a feeling was about and what helped, dreams, and your answers to questions about yourself. These are used only to show you your own patterns.
- When and where you captured something. The time, time zone, language and type of device. Your location only if you allow it, so you can find ideas by place later. Saying no does not stop anything else from working.
3. Your recordings
A recording is uploaded so it can be turned into text. Once the transcript is saved, the audio file is deleted. We keep the transcript, because that is your note.
4. What the website collects
- Waitlist. Your email address, when and where on the site you signed up, and basic browser information. We send you a confirmation email and, if you confirm, occasional updates. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- Pre-orders. Payment is handled by Stripe. We receive your email address and the order. We never see or store your card number.
- Tester applications and feedback forms. What you choose to write in them, such as your name, email and answers.
5. Who else handles your data
We use a small number of services to run Wombi. They process your data only to do their job for us.
- Supabase hosts the database, sign-in and file storage.
- Groq turns recordings into text and runs the AI that organizes your notes. Your recordings and text are sent to it for that purpose, under zero data retention: Groq does not keep them once it has answered and does not use them to train models.
- Stripe processes pre-order payments.
- Resend sends our emails.
If you add your own key for another AI provider in the app, your text goes to that provider instead. If you connect Wombi to another tool, such as Claude, that tool can read your notes, people and tasks through the connection you set up. You can disconnect it at any time.
6. What we can see
Your data is stored in Wombi's database, and as the developer we have administrator access to it. We do not read, listen to or share your notes. We open your account only when you ask us to fix a problem, and we tell you what we looked at. What we do look at is activity counts, such as how often the app is used and which features, so we can see what works.
7. How long we keep it
Your notes stay until you delete them. Deleted notes sit in the trash for 30 days so you can restore them, then they are removed for good. Waitlist addresses stay until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove them. Pre-order records are kept as long as the law requires for payments and refunds.
8. Deleting your data and your other choices
You can delete your account and everything in it from inside the Wombi app at any time. If you would rather we do it, email hello@wombi.store from the address on your account and we will delete it within seven days. You can also ask us for a copy of your data, or to correct it. You can turn off location and microphone access at any time in your phone's settings.
9. Keeping it safe
Data travels over encrypted connections, and access to the database is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, so if something ever goes wrong we will tell the people affected.
10. Children
Wombi is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
11. Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date above and tell you in the app or by email before the change applies.
12. Questions
Write to hello@wombi.store. You will hear back from Yauri, the founder.
